The following sound clips are small segments of Traditional Karuk songs. They were sampled at 11k in AIFF (c) format, and in deference to dowload times, are not complete songs but rather just representative sections that are 10 to 30 seconds in length per segment. They were recorded by Andre Cramblitt, the Operations Director of NCIDC, and a Karuk Tribal Member, on October 31, 1997.
We have also converted these files to WAV format for Windows users who were having problems with the AIFF format versions of these files. The AIFF files are smaller, so try them first. If they do not work on your machine, try the WAV files. Be patient while they download, they are very large sound files.
